DESCRIPTION:Let’s gather for another big rally and continue to choose to stand up for democracy over authoritarianism! \nWe are pleased to announce that\, after a tussle with the governor’s office and the Department of Administration over whether the Montana State Capitol is for the people (hint: it is!)\, this No Kings Rally will again be held around the flag plaza in front of the capitol building. \n\nWhat is there to do at a rally? Glad you asked!\nTell them what you think: Bring your own sign\, or borrow one from our lending library. And afterward\, don’t forget to call or write to your representatives about the changes you wish to see. \nMake connections: Talk with your community members at the rally — what are they doing to resist? How can you help each other? The rally is only a short time\, so let’s make a point to keep the momentum going between these gatherings. \nHelp your community: Waking Giant will be collecting food and hygiene item donations for distribution to the growing list of mini-pantries around our community. Not sure what to bring? We have a list of ideas for you! \n  \nA core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events.
